Madison County board in Illinois bars data centers from enterprise zone property tax incentives
The Madison County board in Illinois voted to exclude data centers from property tax incentives offered through a state enterprise zone program. Projects that get the incentives receive 10-year property tax abatements that then phase out.

Florida Public Service Commission staff recommend denying Duke Energy Florida tariff for customers above 50 MW
Florida Public Service Commission staff recommended on October 22, 2026 that the commission deny the large load tariff filed by Duke Energy Florida in Docket 20260064-EI. The tariff covers customers above the 50 MW threshold, and commissioners vote on November 3 in Tallahassee.
